What information do You hold about Me?

How do We collect Your Personal Information?

We collect Personal Information about You in several ways and can include the following:
When You are providing or entering Personal Information onto Our website it is not until You click the submit button that Your Personal Information is transferred to Us. Unfortunately the internet is not a 100% secure medium and We cannot guarantee or accept any liability for any loss or damages in relation to information that You submit that is lost in transit. We collect the following information about you:

Your name; address; contact details such as email address and phone number/s; date of birth; personal description and photograph; insurance details; financial information; details regarding your health and injury and any other information relevant to you. It is important to Debt Enforcement Group Ltd that you provide the correct information required or requested. Whilst we always endeavour to obtain consent from the authorised party before processing personal data, this is not always possible (e.g. when the accident victim is a child, non-English speaker, elderly/infirm relative). In these cases, it will be necessary to take details from a third party. Where appropriate, we will always ask whether the authorised party has consented to the processing of his/her information.

This can be evidenced by call recordings and the details of both the caller and authorised party will be documented on our systems;

Technical information, including the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform.
Provided you have given the necessary consent to your solicitor, we may receive information;
from one of our panel solicitor firms or other person, firm or corporate entity (including insurance providers, medical practitioners, and costs draftsmen) dealing with your case;
from any person, firm or corporate entity relating to your case; and
from other third parties who may help us to process your enquiries

Who do We share Your Personal Information with?

Data, like many other products and services can be sold or licensed. When We licence data to third parties We call them Clients. We work hard to ensure that We only deal with reputable Clients who like Us operate in accordance with UK Data Protection Law. We never provide your details to a third party to use as a marketing method but to use only with our requirements. We enforce this through Our contractual relationships with Our Clients in which they undertake to operate in accordance with the UK Data Protection Law and continue to enforce the rights You have. More information about those rights is set out in this Privacy Notice. Where this happens We enforce additional contractual provisions to ensure provide an adequate level of protection as required by UK Data Protection Law. When We are running a specific campaign for you to help you as a individual. We will only share the information You have provided with the correct clients. The Client/s may then contact You by post, telephone, e-mail or short text message with information about products and services that they think You might be interested in. It is important that You realise that the Client/s may then also hold Personal Information about You. We therefore recommend that You read the privacy policy on the Client/s Website carefully. You can contact the Client/s at any time if You change Your mind about being contacted by them.

What other rights do I have?

Under the Data Protection Act 1998 You have the right to know what Personal Information We hold about You on Our database. If You would like to know more about this process and what We need from You to meet Your request please contact us directly.

Our general disclosure to You.

We will hold information about You on Our database until such time as You ask Us to suppress Your information.
Once You have provided or clicked ‘submit’ on Our website You consent to Debt Enforcement Group, being able to send You communications via post, landline or mobile number, automated telephone message, email or by sending You a SMS or MMS text message until such times as You exercise Your right to unsubscribe from receiving such communications. We will share information about You with Supporting Client/s. Information about You may be held and used by Client/s and on their websites and/or on databases owned and controlled by them. We only appoint your information to our client/s for one specific need or request, if you receive further marketing methods other than agreed, you must inform us directly as this is classed as a breech and you will be compensated.

You consent to Our Client/s sending You communication via post, landline or mobile number, automated telephone message, email or by sending You a SMS or MMS text message until such times as You withdraw your consent for sending such communications.
